Know about juvenile arthritis Empty Know about juvenile arthritis

Sanitha Sahi, the mother of 10-year-old Reeta Sahi, was a bit worried. She noticed that Reeta had been reluctant to go out with her friends and play outside for the last one week. She rather sat in a corner of her house and played alone. Sanitha also noticed Reeta convoluting in pain when she got up from the bed in the morning. She limped while walking and it seemed that she took great efforts to move her legs. Though at first, Sanitha took Reeta’s complaints regarding `a stiff joint and a piercing pain’’ as an excuse to bunk classes, she later understood the seriousness of the disease when Reeta stopped going out to play. Sanitha soon took her to a doctor and later Reeta was diagnosed with juvenile arthritis.

The disease is rather common among children of UK and United States and it is estimated that 60 of 1 lakh children are affected by the disease. There are many types of juvenile arthritis such as polyarticular juvenile arthritis, pauciarticular juvenile arthritis, systemic onset juvenile arthritis, juvenile spondyloarthropies, juvenile psoriatic arthritis etc.

The cause for juvenile arthritis is not yet identified, but once a child is affected by the disease, there will be swellings and pain in his/her joints and sometimes the child will be down with fever too. You can also observe a change in his/her playing patterns. A careful medical examination is needed if your child develops any of these symptoms. Arthritis ayurvedic treatment seems to be very effective and it has come up with many measures to control the disease.
